The Honors Language Arts class will exceed the content standards, learning expectations, and performance indicators approved by the state. Instructional approaches will facilitate maximum interchange of ideas among students: independent study, self-directed research and learning, and appropriate use of technology. Multiple assessments exemplifying coursework will be utilized, such as short answer, original or creative interpretations, essays and/or constructed response prompts, authentic products, portfolios, performance-based tasks, open-ended questions and analytical writing.
